CC Your Whole Address Book
October 20th, 2008 by Mentalwais“Whyyi” do people attach their entire address book in the cc field, when sending an e-mail? I often get e-mails that contain 60-100 e-mail addresses. I would be pissed if someone randomly gives out my e-mail address to the entire world. It seems such a simple thing to avoid, but many people still do this. Is it because they are not educated? Maybe they don”t care? or perhaps no has told them about this. I feel it is up to us to educate these people, before i pull my hair out again.

A friend of mine just sent me an e-mail with his entire address book. I told him that he would make some people very unhappy by doing this. His explanation: I have no clue how to do that.

I will tell, I had a guy from a restaurant send me his entire e-mail list in his cc. I felt compelled to let him know about it and explained how to properly send mass e-mails. Guess what, I just received his first e-mail of 2009…whithout the entire list attached.
