    Whyyi do people use drop shadow?

    Can someone explain to me why we are so fond of drop shadows in Design. I mean I like clean cool sites like everyone else, but is it a bot overdone? Can the design community come up with something else?

      Drop shadow is an over used word in the design community!

      Drop shadows reflections and glows etc. where also part of web 2.0 design.
      The next step is “flat” retro design (web 3.0 ?)
